We think each art piece that a student creates is
special and wish that we could display each and every one of
them!
Here are a few samples to give you an idea of what Pinnacle
students are learning

The
1st Grade Art Curriculum includes an introduction to art from
long ago such as cave paintings and the
art of Ancient Egypt, as
well as an
introduction to the four elements of art; color, line, shape, and
texture.

| In the 2nd Grade Art Curriculum students review the elements of
art as well as study sculpture, artchitecture, abstract art, and
types of pictures; such as portraits, landscapes and still lifes. |

| 3rd Grade Art Curriculum allows students to review the elements
of art with a focus on light and space in artworks as well as understand
how the elements of art work together to create a design. Students
also learn about American Indian Art and the Art of Ancient Rome
and Byzantine Civilizations. |
| In 4th Grade Art our curriculum consists of a review of the elements
of art and the principles of design as well as studying the art of
the Middle Ages in Europe. |

| The fifth grade students study Renaissance art, its study of perspective,
realism, and correct proportions of the human body with the study
of Michealangelo and Da Vinci. The students create their fresco. |

principles of design. Students study painting since World War I with
a focus on Roy Lichtenstein, photography with a focus on David
